JPH Whitehouse 1941 - 2024
It is with great sadness that we have to announce that Jim Whitehouse passed away earlier this week.
During his period of office, the Boys Under 18 County team became the English County Champions. He believed the future of County Golf was based on encouraging juniors to play golf. He helped to set up the Under 14 Pathway, which over the years has brought many promising players to the fore. He also managed a successful Under 14 team for many years.
Jim was a long time member of Sandwell Park Golf Club, being both Captain in 1986 and President in 2002. He served both his golf club and Staffordshire County golf with distinction. His contribution to Staffordshire golf was recognised in 2018 when he was the recipient of the Len Turner Trophy. He will be sorely missed.
Our thoughts and sympathies go to his wife Mary, his family and those that knew him.
